Gender statistics refers to statistics that describe changes in society from a gender equality perspective. The statistics show the condition of women and men, girls and boys in a large number of areas.

Wage inequality among high earners

2025-12-10

Statistics on gender equality show clear differences between women and men in terms of wages and positions in the labour market. Women generally have lower wages than men and are underrepresented in many management positions in the private sector. However, in the public sector, the management positions are dominated by women. In general, men have higher wages than women and the difference become even clearer when the distribution of wages is examined.
