The Swedish economy - statistical perspective

The following report provides an explanatory analysis of the state of the economy from a statistical perspective. The focus is on the most recent quarterly figures, which were recently published by the National Accounts and also on the primary statistics.

In addition to describing economic changes, the report focuses on how the statistics are interlinked and how they can be interpreted. Amongst other things, the aim is to provide information about consistency and inconsistency between different statistical outcomes, in order to facilitate users' interpretation of statistics so that they can more easily assess the state of the economy.

The analysis in the report is an elaboration of the analysis of the economic statistics, which Statistics Sweden regularly provides in its role as a producer of statistics.

The unit working with economic analysis in the National Accounts Department is responsible for the report. Both the statistical material, as well as interpretations thereof, have been obtained from different statistical areas at Statistics Sweden. The report is planned for publication in Swedish four times a year, in March, June, October and December.
