On Thursday 17th December the Presidency handover meeting trio to trio was held in Stockholm. The contents of the meeting revolved around knowledge sharing and exchange of experiance.
The meeting started with the technical handover between the Swedish and the Spanish Presidency teams and continued with a meeting between the present and the incoming trio member states.
On Thursday 10th December the regulation concerning statistics on pesticides was published in the Official Journal. The regulation will thus come into force in twenty days and the reference year for the regulation will be 2009.
On the Coreper meeting on Wednesday 30th September, the draft ECB regulation was approved. The file is scheduled for adoption in the Council on 9th October 2009.
The legal linguist meeting on the ECB-file is set for the 18th September at 10:00 in the Justus Lipsius building, room CO 35.6.
It is anticipated that the file be on the agenda of the Coreper on 30th September and on the Council agenda on 8th October.
On 3 July 2009 the formal handover meeting, of the Presidency of the Council Working Group on Statistics (CWGS) from the Czech Republic to Sweden, took place in Prague. Beside the Swedish Presidency team and the team of the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO) representatives of the National Statistical Institute of France as well as of the European Commission/Eurostat participated in the meeting.
