New orders and deliveries in industry, October 2007:

New orders in Swedish industry down in October

According to preliminary estimates, new orders in Swedish industry decreased by 4.4 percent from September to October. This reflected a 7.7 percent decrease in the export market and a 0.7 percent increase in the domestic market.

New orders in the capital goods industry decreased by 5.9 percent from September to October while new orders in the intermediate goods industry decreased by 2.3 percent. 

New orders for the last three months (August-October) decreased by 2.3 percent compared to the preceding three months (May-July). The decrease in the export market was 3.7 percent while new orders in the domestic marked were unchanged. 


The total volume of new orders increased by 6.2 percent for October 2007 compared to October 2006.
