Statistics for 2005 on number of employees (day-time population) in localities (urban areas) have been published. A large percentage of the Swedish population both live in and have their workplace in localities - 84 percent and 87 percent.
Outside localities there are concentrations of workplaces, such as airports, factories, mines etc. We have made an investigation of such regions, limited to having at least 50 employees. We found 518 concentrations of workplaces with at least 50 employees and with a total of 107 000 employees.
