Labour Cost Index (AKI) for wage earners and salaried employees in the private sector, April 2009

Labour Cost Index (AKI) up 1.2 percent for wage-earners and 1.2 percent for salaried employees

The Labour Cost Index for the private sector in April 2009 was 102.6 for wage-earners and 102.7 for salaried employees. Compared to April 2009, labour costs have increased by 1.2 percent for wage-earners and 1.2 percent for salaried employees.

Total labour costs were SEK 228.94 per hour for wage-earners and SEK 48 541 per month for salaried employees.

Total labour costs include pay for hours worked, pay for hours not worked, other cash payments and payments in kind, costs for additional pension benefits, other collective fees, contributions to the health insurance schemes, contributions to the national basic supplementary pension schemes, sick pay, and a special payroll tax.
