Higher Swedish producer prices in December
Producer prices on the domestic market increased by 0.7 percent from November to December, while import and export prices decreased by 0.6 and 0.4 percent, respectively. Producer prices, that is, prices on the domestic and export markets together, increased by 0.2 percent.
In December the annual rate of change for import prices was an increase of 0.3 percent. In November import prices had fallen 1.6 percent annually.
Compared to December 2008, producer prices decreased by 0.8 percent. In November the twelve-month rate of change was a negative 1.7 percent. In the domestic market prices increased by 0.9 percent, while export prices decreased over the year by 2.3 percent. In November the corresponding rate of change was minus 1.1 percent on the domestic market and a negative 2.2 percent drop on the export market.
Prices for domestic supply, that is, domestic and import markets together, increased by 0.1 percent between November and December. During last year, prices for domestic supply increased by 0.6 percent. The corresponding figure in November was a decrease of 1.3 percent.
