Upon the publishing of the National Accounts (NA) on 29 February, a correction of the actual number of hours worked was made in addition to the normal revisions. This was not clearly stated in the previous reporting. The correction was due to an error in the underlying statistics that are a special processing of the Labour Force Surveys, LFS.
The actual number of working hours, like the number of employed, is published as a additional statistics within the NA. The error affects previously published information from the National Accounts from the second quarter of 2010 up until the third quarter of 2011. Normal revisions occur regularly on the basis of new statistical information. Upon the publishing on 29 February, the series for actual number of hours worked was adapted to the level of the definitive annual calculations for 2009. That adaptation is small in relation to the correction.
The error in the LFS information to the National Accounts does not affect the official statistics from the LFS that are available on Statistics Sweden's website or in previously published press releases and reports from the LFS.
