Production and publishing of the Activity Index will be discontinued until further notice from 2010 onwards. The last publication will be on 10 February 2010 and refers to December 2009. The reason for discontinuation is mainly because of uncertainty in quality. Statistics Sweden will investigate the possibility to develop another type of flash indicator or GDP flash.
Activity Index, December 2009
The Activity Index measures the activity in the Swedish economy, which increased in December 2009. The trend increased 0.1 percent compared to November, which corresponds to an annual rate of 1.1 percent.
