The survey on purchasing power parity (PPP) aims to measure the price difference on comparable goods and services among countries. The survey represents the GDP of the entire country.
PPP figures can be used to make real comparisons of GDP among countries and to calculate the PLI (Price Level Index) where consideration is given to the nominal exchange rate to compare the price level among countries.
Sweden is cooperating with the EU, which in turn is linked to the OECD and the UN to be able to make global comparisons.
