Statistics Sweden provides annual statistics on production and use of peat. Data on import and export are also included as well as assessments on environmental impact from usage of peat.
The statistics are mainly based on data retrieved from various sources, which are analysed and presented as text, tables, maps and graphs.
Peat 2011 - Production, use and environmental impact
Peat as fuel in electricity and heat production has decreased. During the last two years the decrease has been 25 percent. During the same period the use of fuel increased by 3 percent within the sector.
