The Riksbank has long been in the practice of compiling "Balance of Payments ", i.e. statistical data on crossborder transactions, portfolio investment, Swedish assets and liabilities with the rest of the world. Since 1 September 2007 the data are assembled by SCB (Statistic Sweden), on behalf of the Riksbank.

Balance of payments, 1st quarter 2010
The surplus of the current account amounted to SEK 63.6 billion, an improvement of SEK 2.2 billion compared to the first quarter of 2009. This reinforcement is above all due to incomes and reduced transfers.
