HBS 2009
Statistics Sweden has conducted the Household Budget Survey since 1958, as commissioned by the Swedish Parliament. The main aim of the survey is to illustrate household expenditures and how they are distributed among different goods and services. Results are used as the basis for calculations in National Accounts (NA), the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and for reasonable cost of living calculations by the Swedish Consumer Agency.
The statistics presented below refer to expenditures for the year of 2009 and are based on a sample size of four thousand households selected throughout Sweden.
