The statistics report the number of dwellings affected by renovations in multi-dwelling buildings. Conversion (renovation) refers to changes in the useful floor space for housing in the building, e.g. by conversion from offices to dwellings, conversion of attics for new dwellings, etc.
Demolition means pulling down a building in its entirety.
It is not possible to present larger renovations figures from 2007 due to ending of government subsidies.
Conversion and demolition of multi-dwelling buildings 2012
In 2012, 1 679 converted dwellings were ready for occupancy in multi-dwelling buildings. This is almost the same compared to 2011, when 1 677 dwelling were converted. These additional dwellings consist mainly of premises that have been rebuilt as dwellings and
loft conversions.
