“Rents for dwellings” is an annual survey based on a national sample of rented dwellings. The sample covers approximately 12 000 dwellings. The survey is carried out as a postal and internet survey to the property owners, requesting information about the quality and rent of the selected dwellings. The estimated rents include heating costs, but costs for garage and electricity are excluded. Apartments which are rented out under special circumstances are excluded, such as student housing and housing for seniors.
Rents for rental apartments
Rents increased an average of 2.4 percent from 2010 to 2011. The year before rents rose by 1.6 percent. A three-room apartment costs an average of SEK 5 781 per month.
