Potato harvest 2012
The Swedish harvest of table potatoes is estimated at 552 400 tonnes. This is 31 600 tonnes or 5 percent lower than the total harvest in 2011. Four counties dominate in the cultivation of table potatoes: Skåne, Västra Götaland, Halland and Östergötland counties. The preliminary area of table potatoes amounted to 18 820 hectares, a decrease of slightly more than 6 percent compared to the final area of 2011.
