Autumn sown areas 2012
This autumn a total of 221 700 hectares of winter wheat were sown in all of Sweden. This is 23 percent less than last autumn. Extended periods of rain at the end of the summer and early autumn made it impossible to conduct the planned autumn sowing in many areas. This year's sowing of winter wheat was the lowest since 1998, when the autumn was also very rainy.
