    Decreased business production

    Production for the business sector decreased by 1.2 percent in April compared to March in seasonally adjusted figures. Comparing April with the same month last year, production for the business sector decreased by 0.6 percent in working day adjusted figures.

    Increasing house prices

    Real estate prices for one- or two-dwelling buildings increased by 1 percent during the last three month period, March – May 2013, compared to the previous period, December 2012 – February 2013. Prices increased by 4 percent on an annual basis during the last three month period March – May 2013, compared to the same period last year.

    Sick leave increased

    The number of sick days per employee during the sick pay period increased during the first quarter compared to the same quarter in 2012. In total the number of sick days per employee during the sick pay period was 1.82 compared to 1.74 in 2012.

    Swedish growth holds its own

    At the start of 2013 Swedish growth continued strongly in a weak European environment, while GDP fell in several of the euro area's leading economies such as France and Italy. Household consumption and investments in inventory contributed the most to GDP growth.   • Half-siblings now
    less common

    During the 2000s half-siblings have become less common. An increasing proportion of children born today have only full siblings.

    rental dwellings have been con­verted to tenant‑owned dwellings in Sweden since 2000. Of these, 72 percent or about 115 000 are in Stock­holm County.
