The Swedish Occupational Register with statistics

The aim of the survey is to produce statistics on occupations and illustrate the trends in different industries and sectors of society. Data about occupations is used for a number of different purposes such as planning for education and the labour market, studies about the work environment and gender equality.

Instructions

We are asking for the main job duties for those who work at the enterprise this year, or who have worked at the enterprise during the previous year. The name and personal identification number that is printed on the form has been collected from Statistics Sweden's Statement of Income Register for your convenience. You can obtain the occupational code based on the main job duties at the enterprise. The electronic form has a search function where you can choose the occupational code for each person.

The instructions Submitting information in the web form below is for those enterprises with 44 or fewer employees printed in the form. The instructions Submitting information in the Excel file below is for those enterprises with 45 or more employees printed in the form.

Time plan

A letter with information about user ID and password will be sent out in April. Data collection is via web form or paper questionnaire. Those enterprises that have more than 44 persons printed on the form can also fill in the Excel file and send via the web.

The final date for response is the 17th of May 2024. 

Legal Information

There is an obligation to provide information for this survey according to the Official Statistics Act (2001:99).  The statistics are also regulated according to the Official Statistics Ordinance (2001:100) and Statistics Sweden's regulations (SCB-FS 2010:6).

The information you submit is protected according to Chapter 24 Section 8 of the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (2009:400). When the information is published, no single enterprise will be able to be identified. Consultation has taken place with The Board of Swedish Industry and Commerce for Better Regulation (NNR).
