  • Strong stock market led to increased share wealth

    A strong stock market in 2023 increased the shareholder wealth by 15 percent compared to December 2022. Despite this, shareholder wealth is not back at the peak level from the end of 2021. Since then, shareholder wealth has fallen by 18 percent.

  • Continued strong stock market led to increased shareholder wealth

    A continued strong stock market in the first half of 2023 lifted the shareholder wealth. Despite this, shareholder wealth is not back at the peak level from the end of 2021. Since then, shareholder wealth has fallen by 23 percent.

  • Share wealth declined for the first time in two years

    In the first six months of 2022, share wealth declined for the first time since the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, amounting to SEK 9,300 billion at the end of June. This is a decrease of 31 percent compared with the end of December 2021. The total number of shareholders in the household sector continued to decline, in line with the prior six-month period.

  • Share wealth increased

    At the end of December 2021, share wealth in shares listed in Swedish marketplaces amounted to SEK 13 482 billion, which is SEK 1 832 billion more than at the end of June 2021. The number of shareholders in the household sector decreased by 40 000 in full year 2021.
