  • Remedial education participation rate unchanged from 2019

    The participation rate over time in remedial education in years 7–9 of compulsory school has been 1 out of 10 pupils. In the 2020 spring term, the participation rate in year 9 was just over 10 percent. This is an increase compared with year 6 in the spring term of 2017 and year 7 in the spring term of 2018.

  • Remedial education participation rate increased from 2018

    The participation rate over time in remedial education in years 7–9 of compulsory school has been 1 out of 10 pupils. In the 2019 spring term, the participation rate in year 8 was just over 10 percent. This is an increase compared with year 7 in the 2018 spring term, but on a level with the participation rate in year 8 in previous panels.

  • Remedial education participation rate unchanged

    The participation rate over time in remedial education in years 7–9 of compulsory school has been 1 out of 10 pupils. In the spring of 2018, this participation rate was just under 10 percent, which is on par with last year.

  • More foreign born pupils participate in ”Swedish as second language”

    The participation rate of foreign-born pupils in “Swedish as second language” classes in years 3-6 of compulsory education has increased. Among the foreign born pupils who were in grade 3 in the 2013/14 school year, roughly 45 per cent participated in ”Swedish as second language” classes in year 6 in the spring of 2017. In the spring of 2005, the percentage among foreign-born pupils was 25 per cent.

  • Percentage of pupils in remedial tuition in years 3–6 decreasing

    The percentage of pupils participating in remedial tuition in year 3–6 has decreased over time. In the spring of 2016, 1 out of 10 pupils in year 5 of compulsory education took part in remedial tuition. In the spring of 1994, 2 out of 10 in year 5 participated in remedial tuition.
