Capacity utilisation in industry decreased

Capacity utilisation in industry decreased by 0.4 percentage points in the first quarter of 2018 compared with the fourth quarter of 2017 in seasonally adjusted figures.
The decreased capacity utilisation in industry meant that the level of utilisation decreased to 90.6 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
On an annual basis, capacity utilisation increased by 0.4 percentage points compared with the first quarter of 2017 and showed a 90.6 percent level of utilisation in calendar adjusted figures.
The figures for the first quarter of 2018 are preliminary. Since the previous publication, capacity utilisation in the fourth quarter of 2017 compared with the third quarter of 2017 has been revised upwards by 0.4 percentage points and therefore remains unchanged. The change in capacity utilisation in the fourth quarter of 2017 compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year remains unchanged.
