Increased capacity utilisation in industry

Capacity utilisation in industry increased by 0.2 percentage points in the third quarter of 2017 compared with the second quarter of 2017 in seasonally adjusted figures.
The increased capacity utilisation in industry meant that the level of utilisation increased to 90.9 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
On an annual basis, capacity utilisation increased by 2.3 percentage points compared with the third quarter of 2016 and showed a 90.8 percent level of utilisation in calendar adjusted figures.
The figures for the third quarter of 2017 are preliminary. Since the previous publication, the capacity utilisation for the second quarter of 2017 compared with the first quarter of 2017 remains unchanged. On an annual basis, capacity utilisation remained unchanged compared with the second quarter of 2016 and showed an 91.0 percent level of utilisation in calendar adjusted figures.
