Capacity utilisation in industry decreased by 0.3 percentage points in the fourth quarter of 2017 compared with the third quarter of 2017 in seasonally adjusted figures.
The decreased capacity utilisation in industry meant that the level of utilisation decreased to 90.6 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
On an annual basis, capacity utilisation increased by 1.6 percentage points compared with the fourth quarter of 2016 and showed a 90.4 percent level of utilisation in calendar adjusted figures.
The figures for the fourth quarter of 2017 are preliminary. Since the previous publication, the capacity utilisation for the third quarter of 2017 compared with the second quarter of 2017 remains unchanged. The change in capacity utilisation in the third quarter of 2017 compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year has been revised upwards by 0.2 percentage points to an increase of 2.6 percentage points.
