Household consumption decreased in July

Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2018-09-10 9.30

Household consumption decreased by 2.1 percent in seasonally adjusted figures between June and July. During the last three-month period, consumption decreased by 0.4 percent in seasonally adjusted figures. Household consumption decreased by 0.1 percent in fixed prices and working day adjusted figures in July 2018 compared with July 2017.

Transport and retail sales and service of motor vehicles was the activity with the largest weighted contribution to the total decrease in consumption. The activity decreased by 2.9 percent in fixed prices compared with the same period in the previous year. Prices increased by 1.4 percent according to the consumption deflator.
