Consumer Price Index (CPI), December 2013:
Inflation rate 0.1 percent
The inflation rate was 0.1 percent in December 2013, unchanged from November 2013. The Swedish Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by an average of 0.3 percent from November to December 2013 (0.3 percent increase from November to December 2012).
The CPI for December of 2013 was 315.04 (1980=100).
Higher prices for transport services (9.4 percent) contributed upwards by 0.3 percentage points to the change from November to December. Price increases for package holidays (6.3 percent) and vegetables (5.9 percent) contributed upwards by 0.1 percentage point each.
The increase was offset by lower prices for telephone services and equipment (-2.3 percent) which contributed downwards by 0.1 percentage point. Price decreases within the group coffee, tea and cocoa (-13.5 percent), as well as for electricity (-1.3 percent) contributed together downwards by 0.1 percentage point.
The inflation rate according to CPIF was 0.8 percent in December 2013. CPIF increased by 0.3 percent from November to December 2013 (0.3 percent from November to December 2012).
HICP increased by 0.3 percent from November to December 2013 and increased by 0.4 percent since December of 2012.
Changes for 2014
Some adjustments will be introduced in the calculation of the Consumer Price Index and the related measures as from publication for January 2014.
