Consumer Price Index (CPI), February 2016:

Inflation rate 0.4 percent

The inflation rate was 0.4 percent in February, down from 0.8 percent in January. The Swedish Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.3 percent from January to February 2016 (increased by 0.7 percent from January to February 2015).

Price increases in clothing (6.7 percent) contributed upwards by 0.3 percentage points to the change from January to February 2016. In addition, higher prices for package holidays (6.1 percent), vegetables (3.5 percent) and furnishings and household goods (0.9 percent) contributed by 0.1 percentage point each.

Lower prices for electricity (-3.9 percent) contributed downwards to the monthly change by 0.2 percentage points. Price decreases of fuels (-3.2 percent) contributed downwards by 0.1 percentage point.

The CPI for February 2016 was 314.14 (1980=100).

The inflation rate according to CPIF was 1.1 percent in February 2016. CPIF increased by 0.3 percent from January to February 2016 (compared to an increase of 0.8 percent from January to February 2015).

HICP increased by 0.3 percent from January to February 2016 and the inflation rate according to HICP was 0.8 percent in February 2016.
