    The total production of table potatoes is estimated at 457 000 tonnes in 2021. This is 15 percent less than in 2020 and 12 percent less than the average in 2016–2020. The total production in 2021 is on a par with the historically low production in 2018 caused by summer drought that year.

    The 2019 yield per hectare is estimated at 33 050 kilos per hectare, which is 18 percent more than in 2018, when a summer drought led to crop failure. The total harvest of table potatoes is 3 percent higher than the last five-year average.
