  • The number of applicants to the higher vocational education programmes remains at the same high level 2025

    More than 104 600 people applied to the higher vocational education programmes for 2025, which is at the same level as the previous year. The number of eligible applicants increased from 77 000 to 77 900, while the number of available places decreased from 34 700 to 33 400. Technology and manufacturing had the highest number of admitted students who started their studies. In total, the number of admitted students who began their studies decreased by 4 percent."

  • Graduation rate continued to increase in Computers/IT

    Slightly more than 68 percent completed their education with a degree 2024, which is somewhat higher than the previous year. The graduation rate among men increased to 65 percent, while the graduation rate among women decreased to 72 percent.

    The graduation rate 2023 was at the same level as the year before with 68 percent. The graduation rate for women was 73 percent compared to 62 percent for men.

    The number of applicants to higher vocational education (HVE) programs increased by 6% in 2023. The proportion of men applying to HVE programs increased compared to the previous year. The number of people applying for and starting studies in courses increased significantly.
