Capacity utilisation in industry decreased

Capacity utilisation in industry decreased by 0.7 percentage points in the third quarter of 2021 compared with the second quarter of 2021 in seasonally adjusted figures.
The decrease in capacity utilisation in industry in the third quarter led to a decrease in the level of utilisation, which amounted to 90.4 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
On an annual basis, capacity utilisation increased by 4.2 percentage points compared with the third quarter of 2020 and was 90.3 percent in calendar adjusted figures.
The figures for the third quarter of 2021 are preliminary. Since the previous publication, the change in capacity utilisation in the second quarter of 2021 compared with the first quarter of 2021 has been revised downwards by 0.1 percentage point, to a utilisation rate of 91.1 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
The change in capacity utilisation in the second quarter of 2021 compared with the corresponding quarter a year ago decreased by 0.1 percentage point to a utilisation rate of 91.4 percent in calendar adjusted figures.
