Real estate prices for one- or two-dwelling buildings rose by almost 2 percent in the last three-month period, from September to November 2019, compared with the previous period, from June to August 2019. In the last three-month period, from September to November 2019, prices rose by 4 percent on an annual basis compared with the same period the previous year.
From 2020, the monthly publication of statistical news on real estate prices will be discontinued. In 2020, instead, statistics news on quarterly and annual statistics will be published, starting on 24 January.
Between the two most recent three-month periods, prices rose in 13 out of 21 counties. The largest increase was 6 percent, in Kronoberg County and Uppsala County, followed by 5 percent, in Jönköping County. Declining prices were reported in six counties. The largest decline was 3 percent in Jämtland County. In the metropolitan area of Greater Gothenburg prices rose by 1 percent, while prices in Greater Stockholm and Greater Malmö remained unchanged.
On an annual basis, prices rose in all counties except in Jämtland County, where prices fell by 2 percent. The largest increase was 8 percent, in Jönköping County, Uppsala County and Dalarna County. In the metropolitan areas of Greater Stockholm, Greater Gothenburg and Greater Malmö, prices rose between 1 percent and 4 percent.
At the national level, the average price for one- or two-dwelling buildings was SEK 3 million in the period from September to November 2019.

Price changes are estimated using the purchase price coefficient (K/T). K/T is the ratio between the purchase price and the assessed value at a certain time and is reported as an unweighted mean value.
One- or two-dwelling buildings for permanent dwelling include detached one- or two-dwelling buildings, terraced houses and link-attached buildings. Real estate with site leasehold rights is included.
