Sweden’s GDP decreased 0,1 percent in the second quarter 2019

Sweden’s GDP decreased 0,1 percent in the second quarter of 2019, seasonally adjusted and compared to the first quarter of 2019. GDP increased by 1,4 percent, working-day adjusted and compared to the second quarter of 2018.
Household consumption expenditures rose by 0.6 percent and government consumption expenditures decreased 0.1 percent seasonally adjusted and compared to the previous quarter. Changes in inventories decreased GDP by 0.1 percentage points in the second quarter. Gross fixed capital formation decreased by 1,1 percent. Exports decreased by 0.3 percent and imports decreased by 0.5 percent. Market production of goods and services was unchanged, seasonally adjusted. Production of goods decreased by 0.4 percent and service-producing industries rose by 0,3 percent. Employment measured as the total number of hours worked increased by 0,2 percent seasonally adjusted and the total number of persons employed decreased by 0.2 percent seasonally adjusted.
Revised Swedish GDP in September 2019
In September 2019, the time series for the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and other key measures in the National Accounts will be revised due to a benchmark revision.
