The number of households in Sweden at the end of 2022 was 4 883 800. In 2022, the number of households increased by 52 000, or 1.1 percent. The relative increase in households was greater than Sweden's population growth, which means that the average household size decreased somewhat from 2.16 persons in 2021 to 2.15 persons in 2022.
