Changes in the last month

The monthly rate of change was positive on all markets from May to June. Prices increased mainly on wood products, paper and crude oil.

On the domestic market, the main upward contribution came from higher prices on wood, sawn and planed. In addition, prices increased on paper and paper products, electricity, preserved meat and meat products as well as other fabricated metal products. This upturn was somewhat offset by lower prices for basic metals and structural metal products as well as seasonally normal price decreases on district heating.

On the export market, the main upward contribution also came from higher prices on wood sawn and planed, followed by price increases on basic iron and steel and ferro-alloys as well as electricity. Prices also increased on pulp, paper and paperboard, chemicals and chemical products and basic metals. This upturn was somewhat offset by price decreases on motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.

The main upward contributions on the import market came from higher prices on crude oil. Prices also increased on natural gas, electricity, electrical equipment, fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment as well as basic iron and steel and ferro-alloys.
