Household consumption increased in August

Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2018-10-10 9.30

Household consumption increased by 1.5 percent in seasonally adjusted figures between July and August. During the last three-month period, consumption decreased by 1.3 percent in seasonally adjusted figures. Household consumption increased by 0.3 percent in fixed prices and working day adjusted figures in August 2018 compared with August 2017.

Housing, electricity, gas and heating was the activity with the largest weighted contribution to the total increase in consumption. The activity increased by 0.9 percent in fixed prices compared with the same period in the previous year. Prices increased by 2.1 percent according to the consumption deflator.
