Household consumption decreased in October
Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2018-12-10 9.30
Household consumption decreased by 0.3 percent in October compared with October last year, measured in fixed prices and working day adjusted figures. In the last three-month period, consumption decreased by 0.1 percent in fixed prices and working day adjusted figures, compared with the same period last year. Household consumption decreased by 0.2 percent in seasonally adjusted figures compared with September.
Restaurants, cafés and accommodation was the activity with the largest weighted positive contribution to the total consumption. This activity increased by 3.9 percent in fixed prices compared with October last year. In contrast, Other goods and services decreased by 8.4 percent in fixed working day adjusted prices compared with October last year. Prices increased by 2.3 percent according to the consumption deflator.
