Restaurant sales increased in the fourth quarter
Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2019-03-08 9.30
The restaurant sales volume increased by 0.7 percent in the fourth quarter compared with the same period the previous year. The largest increase in sales volume, 9.7 percent, was among hotel restaurants.
This was followed by restaurants near traffic, which increased by 8.1 percent from the fourth quarter 2017. The weakest development in sales volume, minus 11.5 percent, was among personnel restaurants.
In current prices, turnover generated by restaurants increased by 3.6 percent in the fourth quarter compared with the same quarter the previous year.
