Net trade balance at SEK -1.1 billion in November

In November 2016, Swedish exports of goods amounted to SEK 113.4 billion, while imports of goods amounted to SEK 114.5 billion. As a result, the net trade balance was SEK -1.1 billion.
Foreign trade in goods resulted in a net trade deficit of SEK 1.1 billion in November 2016 according to preliminary calculations. In November 2015, there was a net trade deficit of SEK 5.2 billion.
The value of exports in November 2016 amounted to SEK 113.4 billion, while imports were valued at SEK 114.5 billion. Compared to November 2015, exports increased by 13 percent in value while imports increased by 9 percent in value.
Trade with countries outside the EU resulted in a surplus of SEK 14.9 billion, while EU trade resulted in a deficit of SEK 16.0 billion.
The number of weekdays in November was one more than in November 2015.
Seasonally adjusted, the net trade surplus amounted to SEK 0.4 billion in November 2016, compared with a surplus of SEK 0.3 billion in October 2016. The corresponding figure for September 2016 was SEK 0.0 billion.
Net trade (Jan – Nov 2016) showed a deficit of SEK 7.4 billion
During January - November, the value of exports remained unchanged compared with the corresponding period one year ago, while the value of imports increased by 2 percent. Exports amounted to SEK 1 084.6 billion and imports were valued at SEK 1 092.0 billion, resulting in a deficit net trade balance of 7.4 billion for January – November 2016. The corresponding surplus figure for these months one year earlier was SEK 9.8 billion.
