The future population of Sweden 2013–2060:

More and more elderly in the future population

The trend to live longer continues during the entire forecast period. At the end of the forecast period in 2060, more than half the deaths will occur for those over the age of 90. Today one in three persons reach that age. Fifty years ago one in ten persons reached the age of 90.
