Research and Development in Micro Enterprises
This report aims to describe the R&D performed by micro enterprises in 2023 as well as their role in the Swedish R&D system. The statistics show micro enterprises as standalone actors selling specialised research services to manufacturing industries or as daughters to foreign businesses choosing to locate their R&D in Sweden. Strong employment growth among micro enterprises with R&D also indicates that R&D can lead to new ideas and innovations, creating opportunities for enterprises to grow.
