Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2017-01-26 9.30

Producer prices increased 2.1 percent between November and December. In the same period, prices increased 3.4 percent on the import market and 2.5 percent on the export market. On the domestic market, prices increased 1.5 percent.

Higher crude oil prices accounted for the largest contribution to the upturn on the import market in December. On the domestic market, higher prices for district heating contributed to the increase. On the export market, higher prices for machinery and equipment contributed to the increase. Increases were partly offset, across all markets, by a fall in electricity prices.

Domestic supply, that is, producer prices on the domestic and import markets together, increased 2.4 percent from November to December and 6.3 percent compared with December last year.

Compared with December last year, producer prices have increased 6.5 percent. In the same period, prices on the export market and the import market increased 8.1 percent and 7.8 percent respectively. On the domestic market, prices increased 4.8 percent in the same period.
