Increased household consumption in June

Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2018-08-13 9.30

Household consumption increased by 0.3 percent in seasonally adjusted figures between May and June. During the last three-month period, consumption increased by 1.6 percent in seasonally adjusted figures. Household consumption increased by 4.3 percent in fixed prices and working day adjusted figures in June 2018 compared with June 2017.

Transport and retail sales and service of motor vehicles was the activity with the largest weighted contribution to the total increase in consumption. The activity increased by 18.7 percent in fixed prices compared with the same period in the previous year. Prices increased by 1.2 percent according to the consumption deflator.
