Restaurant sales increased in the first quarter
Statistical news from Statistics Sweden 2019-06-10 9.30
The restaurant sales volume increased by 1.8 percent in the first quarter compared with the same period last year. The largest increase in sales volume, 15.3 percent, was among hotel restaurants.
Traffic restaurants recorded the second largest increase, 5.6 percent, from the first quarter 2018. Cafés recorded -7.1 percent, which was the weakest development in sales volume.
In current prices, turnover generated by restaurants increased by 4.7 percent in the first quarter compared with the same quarter last year.
