Capacity utilisation in industry decreased

Capacity utilisation in industry decreased by 0.2 percentage points in the first quarter of 2020 compared with the fourth quarter of 2019 in seasonally adjusted figures.
This decrease in capacity utilisation in industry means that the level of utilisation amounted to 89.2 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
On an annual basis, capacity utilisation decreased by 1.6 percentage points compared with the first quarter of 2019 and amounted to 89.2 percent in calendar adjusted figures.
The figures for the first quarter of 2020 are preliminary. Since the previous publication, capacity utilisation in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared with the third quarter of 2019 has been revised upwards by 0.2 percentage points, to 89.4 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
The change in capacity utilisation in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared with the corresponding quarter a year ago has been revised upwards by 0.2 percentage points to 89.3 percent in calendar adjusted figures.
