Capacity utilisation in industry decreased

Capacity utilisation in industry decreased by 0.6 percentage points in the fourth quarter of 2018 compared with the third quarter of 2018 in seasonally adjusted figures.
This decreased capacity utilisation in industry meant that the level of utilisation decreased to 90.4 percent in seasonally adjusted figures.
On an annual basis, capacity utilisation decreased by 0.5 percentage points compared with the fourth quarter of 2017 and was 90.4 percent in calendar adjusted figures.
The figures for the fourth quarter of 2018 are preliminary. The change in capacity utilisation in the third quarter of 2018 compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year has been revised upwards by 0.1 percentage points to an increase of 0.1 percentage points.
