Statistics about the private sector’s operating profit is published during 2023

Quarterly economic statistics will be published with start from reference period quarter 1 2024. However, the statisics covering the private sector’s operating profit will be published during reference year 2023. The statistics will only published on its website. The statistics should be regarded as under development.

About the statistics: Operating profit

The survey is designed as a census survey of the businesses within the target population. A statement of operation is collected from 400 large and significant businesses. For the remaining part of the target population, administrative data from the Swedish Tax Agency are used.

The statstics is under development and will during 2023 only be published on its webpage. With start from 2024 the statistics is expected to become Official Statistics. A comprehensive methodological documentation will be published in connection to the first regular publication of the statistics regarding quarter 1 2024.
