Statistical news

Many foreign-born people have been educated in Sweden

2025-12-16

In 2024, there were 1.7 million people aged 16–65 in Sweden who were born abroad. This corresponds to a quarter of the population of the same age. A large proportion of them, at least 80 percent, have participated in some form of education in Sweden and 60 percent are established in the labour market.
