Lending rates are falling in most economic activities

2026-07-13

The lending rate fell in seven out of eleven economic activities in May compared with April. An increase was seen in two out of eleven economic activities, whilst in the remaining two economic activities the rate remained unchanged. A similar pattern is seen for lending rates by enterprise size, with rates falling for two enterprise size categories, rising for one, and remaining unchanged for one in May compared with April.
