In the first quarter of 2023, there were 4 978 593 employees. The number of employees increased by 1.2 percent compared with the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total gross pay amounted to SEK 548 billion, an increase of 5.7 percent. There were 193 400 job openings in the labour market, an increase of 4.6 percent compared with the corresponding quarter in 2022.
