Inflation rate 1.4 percent

The inflation rate was 1.4 percent in November 2016, up from 1.2 percent in October. The Swedish Consumer Price Index (CPI) was unchanged from October to November 2016. In the corresponding period last year, the CPI decreased by 0.2 percent.

The upward contribution to change in the CPI from October to November 2016 was mainly due to a rise in prices for electricity and other fuels (3.4 percent) which contributed 0.2 percentage points.

The downward contribution was mainly due to lower prices for package holidays (-7.1 percent), fuels (-2.1 percent) and international flights (-10.4 percent), which each contributed 0.1 percentage points.

The CPI for November 2016 was 318.10 (1980=100).

The inflation rate according to the CPI with a fixed interest rate (CPIF) was 1.6 percent in November, up from 1.4 percent in October. The CPIF increased by 0.1 percent from October to November 2016. In the corresponding period last year, the CPIF decreased by 0.1 percent.

The inflation rate according to the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) was 1.3 percent in November 2016, up from 1.1 percent in October. The HICP was unchanged from October to November 2016. In the corresponding period last year, the HICP decreased by 0.2 percent.
